IGRAČKANJE

After a few weeks of other jobs bonsais are my main concern again. Red pine in Literati style was just right for afternoon playing. Spring growth is mature, it is time for needle plucking and new wiring. We had a good time together! (first photo is a material)

Po nekaj tednih premora so spet na vrsti bonsaji. Rdeči bor v slogu literati je bil pravšnji za popoldansko igračkanje. Spomladanska rast je dozorela, čas je bil za redčenje iglic in novo žičenje. Lepo sva se imela! (prva slika je začetni materijal)

FIKUS

It is always interesting to compare old pictures of the trees with updated ones. What incredible transformation could happen in few years! It would be very interesting to fast-forward  some 5-6 years and compress them into a few second of a film ... Bonsaism is mostly long-term activity. First pic is from autumn 2007, the second is from today: 

Vedno se mi zdi zanimivo primerjat stare fotografije dreves z najnovejšimi. Kakšne neverjetne transformacije se zgodijo v nekaj letih! Zelo zanimivo bi bilo na hitro zvrteti recimo 5-6 let in jih stisniti v nekaj sekund filma ... Bonsajizem je večinoma tek na dolge proge. Prva slika fikusa je iz jeseni 2007, druga je današnja:

POLETJE

Tomaž came in summer school; his ficus waited all winter long for this part of the year. When he bring it into workshop, it was completely overgrown:

Tomaž se je oglasil v poletni šoli; njegov fikus je že celo zimo čakal na ta letni čas. Ko ga je prinesel v delavnico, je bil pošteno skuštran:


First we defoliated it - structure of crown was then visible and we could wire it:

Najprej sva ga razlistila, da se je pokazala struktura vej in sva ga kasneje lahko ožičila:


Then wiring take place (Tomaž improved his skills very much, he still need some practicing though) and new look of bonsai is here:

Sledilo je natančno žičenje (Tomaž je že zelo napredoval, manjka mu le še kondicija, ki jo bo dobil s prakso) in nova podoba bonsaja je tu:
